One simple currency for all therapy time
Tokens are the only thing you need to keep track of. Every token represents 10 minutes of active work with your patient – whether it is a gamified training session, a VR task, or an audio-video call with screen sharing.
You can use tokens across all VAST.Rehab modules (full body, hands and fingers, VR headset) and on all compatible devices (iPad, Android tablet, PC with any webcam, PC with Stereolabs ZED 2, Meta Quest 3, etc.). The model is the same regardless of the hardware you use.
Tokens are consumed in 10-minute blocks:

1 token = 10 minutes of exercises in any VAST.Rehab module – for example a 30-minute training session will consume 3 tokens.

1 token = 10 minutes of audio-video tele-consultation with optional screen sharing – for example a 20-minute tele-session will consume 2 tokens.

If you combine training and tele-consultation in one session, tokens are used for the time of each activity.
In subscription plans, tokens are assigned per billing period. In Starter, Professional and Business they are valid for 30 days. In the Enterprise plan they are valid for 365 days, which gives large facilities more flexibility to plan pilots and seasonal programs.
Patient Stations are not billed separately in the subscription model. You can run several stations in parallel – what matters is how many minutes of therapy you deliver, not how many devices you own.

Choose how you want to buy VAST.Rehab
The token-based subscription model is the most flexible way to use VAST.Rehab: you can scale the number of Patient Stations, therapists and patients without changing your license structure – you only manage the volume of tokens.
For some facilities, however, a one-time license may be a better fit. In this model you pay once for a specific module on a specific device. There are no subscription fees and software updates remain free. All data is stored locally on your computer.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does token-based billing work in practice?
Each token represents 10 minutes of active work with a patient – either a gamified training session or an audio-video tele-consultation with optional screen sharing. Tokens are consumed whenever a patient is actively training or connected with a therapist.
In monthly plans (Starter, Professional, Business) you receive a new pool of tokens every billing period and they are valid for 30 days. In the Enterprise plan you receive a yearly pool of 2400 tokens valid for 365 days.
What happens if we run out of tokens before the end of the month?
If you deliver more minutes of therapy than your current monthly pool covers, your token balance may temporarily go below zero. The next monthly pool will first be used to compensate this negative balance.
If this happens repeatedly, we will proactively contact you to suggest upgrading the plan or finding another configuration that better matches your real usage.
How many therapist accounts can we create?
All subscription plans include an unlimited number of therapist accounts. You can create separate logins for every team member who needs access to VAST.Rehab, without worrying about extra per-user fees.
How many Patient Stations can we use?
In the token-based subscription model you can use multiple Patient Stations in parallel. By default we configure three stations for you, and we can increase this number on request. What matters for billing is the time patients spend in therapy, not the number of devices.
Can we switch between subscription and perpetual license?
Yes. After the end of your current billing period we can help you move from a subscription to a perpetual license for selected devices, or the other way around. Many facilities start with a subscription to validate the model and later combine it with perpetual licenses.
How are payments handled?
Subscription payments are processed via Stripe – you simply add your credit card and payments are collected automatically for the plan you choose.
For Enterprise plans we also support bank transfers based on a pro forma invoice, upon request. If you need this option, contact us and we will configure it for your organization.
Can we start with a trial before choosing a plan?
Absolutely. You can request a free trial to test VAST.Rehab with real patients. During the trial, interactive onboarding wizards will guide you through installation, configuration and your first therapy sessions.
